碳化硅概述:
碳化硅(SiC)是用石英砂、石油焦(或煤焦)、木屑為原料通過電阻爐高溫冶煉而成。碳化硅在大自然也存在**的礦物,莫桑石。碳化硅又稱碳硅石。在當(dāng)代C、N、B等非氧化物高技術(shù)耐火原料中,碳化硅為應(yīng)用較廣泛、較經(jīng)濟(jì)的一種。可以稱為金鋼砂或耐火砂。 碳化硅是用石英砂、石油焦(或煤焦)、木屑(生產(chǎn)綠色碳化硅時(shí)需要加食鹽)等原料在電阻爐內(nèi)經(jīng)高溫冶煉而成。目前我國工業(yè)生產(chǎn)的碳化硅分為黑色碳化硅和綠色碳化硅兩種,均為六方晶體,比重為3.20~3.25,顯微硬度為2840~3320kg/mm2。
碳化硅有黑碳化硅和綠碳化硅兩個(gè)常用的基該品種,都屬α-SiC。①黑碳化硅含SiC約95%,其韌性**綠碳化硅,大多用于加工抗張強(qiáng)度低的材料,如玻璃、陶瓷、石材、耐火材料、鑄鐵和有色金屬等。②綠碳化硅含SiC約97%以上,自銳性好,大多用于加工硬質(zhì)合金、鈦合金和光學(xué)玻璃,也用于珩磨汽缸套和精磨高速鋼刀具。此外還有立方碳化硅,它是以特殊工藝制取的黃綠色晶體,用以制作的磨具適于軸承的**精加工,可使表面粗糙度從Ra32~0.16微米一次加工到Ra0.04~0.02微米。
碳化硅由于化學(xué)性能穩(wěn)定、導(dǎo)熱系數(shù)高、熱膨脹系數(shù)小、**性能好,除作磨料用外,還有很多其他用途,例如:以特殊工藝把碳化硅粉末涂布于水輪機(jī)葉輪或汽缸體的內(nèi)壁,可提高其**性而延長使用壽命1~2倍;用以制成的高級耐火材料,耐熱震、體積小、重量輕而強(qiáng)度高,節(jié)能效果好。低品級碳化硅(含SiC約85%)是較好的脫氧劑,用它可加快煉鋼速度,并便于控制化學(xué)成分,提高鋼的質(zhì)量。此外,碳化硅還大量用于制作電熱元件硅碳棒。
碳化硅的硬度很大,具有優(yōu)良的導(dǎo)熱性能,是一種半導(dǎo)體,高溫時(shí)能抗氧化。
碳化硅用途:
碳化硅主要有四大應(yīng)用領(lǐng)域,即: 功能陶瓷、高級耐火材料、磨料及冶金原料。目前碳化硅粗料已能大量供應(yīng),不能算高新技術(shù)產(chǎn)品,而技術(shù)含量較高的納米級碳化硅粉體的應(yīng)用短時(shí)間不可能形成規(guī)模經(jīng)濟(jì)。

⑵作為冶金脫氧劑和耐高溫材料。
